Tribal Co-operative Marketing Development Federation of India Ltd. shortly known as TRIFED is a national level organization under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Govt. of India, primarily engaged in the development and marketing of tribal handicrafts and natural products.

In order to meet the challenging responsibilities, TRIFED is looking for dynamic, experienced and motivated candidates with the right attitude for serving tribal cause and who are willing to serve in the remotest parts of the country, for the following positions.

1.Name of the post : General Manager (Finance & Accounts) : 1
Post Code : GM/F/12-13
Pay Scale : Rs.37400-67000 (PB-4) with grade pay of Rs.8700/-.
Age limit : 45-50 years.
Educational Qualification : Master Degree in Management with specialization in finance stream or equivalent Post Graduate 2 years full time Diploma in Management with specialization in finance stream; from recognized university/ institute or C.A./ICWA; or equivalent professional qualification ;from recognized university/ institute.

2.Name of the post : Deputy General Manager (Marketing) : 2
Post Code : DGM/M/12-13
Pay Scale : Rs.37400-67000 (PB-4) with grade pay of Rs.8700/-.
Age limit : 40-45 years.
Educational Qualification : Master Degree in Management with specialization in marketing or equivalent Post Graduate 2 years full time Diploma in Management with specialization in marketing/;Foreign Trade; from recognized university/institute.

3.Name of the post : Assistant Manager: 12
Post Code : AM/C/12-13
Pay Scale : Rs.15600-39100 (PB-3) with grade pay of Rs.5400/-.
Age limit : 21-30 years.
Educational Qualification : Graduate degree from recognized institutions/ universities.

4.Name of the post : Sales Executive/ Senior Accountant /Senior Assistant : 16
Post Code : SE/C/12-13
Pay Scale : Rs.9300-34800 (PB-2) with grade pay of Rs.4200/-.
Age limit : 25-35 years.
Educational Qualification : Graduate degree in Commerce/Business Administration/ Economics/Law/Science/Computer Science/Social Work/ Library Science/fashion technology/design ^& development/food technology/packaging from recognized university/institute or Diploma in Engineering.

5.Name of the post : Commercial Assistant/ Accountant /Assistant : 5
Post Code : CA/C/12-13
Pay Scale : Rs.5200-20200 (PB-1) with grade pay of Rs.2400/-.
Age limit : 23-33 years.
Educational Qualification : Graduate, preferably in Commerce/Business Administration/Science/Economics/Computer Science/Law/Library Science/ fashion technology/design & development/food technology/packaging from recognized university/institute.

6.Name of the post : Junior Commercial Assistant/Junior Accountant /Junior Assistant : 41
Post Code : JCA/C/12-13
Pay Scale : Rs.5200-20200 (PB-1) with grade pay of Rs.1900/-.
Age limit : 21-30 years.
Educational Qualification : Essential qualification: Graduate or equivalent qualification. Should have working knowledge of computers. For Jr.Accounts Assistant, Degree should be in Commerce.

Method of selection :
i) Selection of candidate(s) for the posts at Sr.No.1 & 2 will be done through interview to be conducted at Head Office of TRIFED at New Delhi;

ii) Selection of candidates for the post at Sr.No.3 will be done through Written Test cum- Group Discussion followed by Interview to be conducted at TRIFED’s Head Office,New Delhi;

iii) Selection of candidates for the posts at Sr.Nos.4 to 6 will be done through a Common Written Test to be conducted region-wise; at
(i) Delhi (for Northern Region);
(ii) Bhopal (for Central and Eastern Region),
(iii) Guwahati (for North-Eastern Region),
(iv) Mumbai (for Western Region),
(v) Bangalore (for Southern Region).

How to Apply :

ii) Candidates applying for the posts at Sr.No.1 & 2 for appointment on deputation basis will also have to forward print out of the application through their employer along with the following information/documents, so as to reach the same on or before 17.12.2012
i. photocopies of the CR dossiers for the last 5 years duly attested by an officer not below the rank of Under Secretary or equivalent;
ii. cadre clearance ;
iii. current vigilance clearance report and integrity certificate;
iv. list of major/minor penalties imposed on the officer, if any, during the last 10 years.

General Instructions:
1. All candidates whether in Govt. service or in Govt. owned industrial or other similar organizations or in private employment, should submit their applications Online directly to TRIFED through Candidates who are employed in Govt./Semi Govt./Public Sector Undertakings/ Autonomous bodies/Cooperative Societies and applying for appointment on direct recruitment basis,

Candidates applying for the posts at Sr.No.1 & 2 for appointment on deputation basis will also have to forward print out of the application through their employer along with the following information/documents, so as to reach the same on or before 17.12.2012 :-photocopies of the CR dossiers for the last 5 years duly attested by an officer not below the rank of Under Secretary

3. Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and summarily rejected.Date for determining the eligibility of all candidates in every respect shall be the prescribed closing date for submission of online recruitment application.

4. After submitting the Online Application, the candidates are not required to send any Document or Certificate or Print out of the Application initially to TRIFED except those applying for on deputation basis for the posts at Sr.No.1&2.However, candidates called for Written-Test/Group Discussion/ Interview shall have to produce the original Documents/

5. Certificates and print out of the Application, duly signed, along with attested copies of such Documents/Certificates and passport size photograph, at the time of written test/interview. Therefore, candidates should essentially retain the print out of the Online Application. Candidates called for written test/interview should bring a valid identity proof.

6. Method of selection :Selection of candidate(s) for the posts at Sr.No.1 & 2 will be done through interview to be conducted at Head Office of TRIFED at New Delhi;Selection of candidates for the post at Sr.No.3 will be done through Written Testcum-Group Discussion followed by Interview to be conducted at TRIFED’s Head Office,New Delhi;

7. Selection of candidates for the posts at Sr.Nos.4 to 6 will be done through a Common Written Test to be conducted region-wise; at (i) Delhi (for Northern Region);Bhopal (for Central and Eastern Region), (iii) Guwahati (for North-Eastern Region),Mumbai (for Western Region), (v) Bangalore (for Southern Region).
8. No Traveling Allowance will be admissible for attending written test at the respective centres.
9. Candidates shortlisted and called for Interview will be paid rail fare from the nearest Railway Station of the place indicated in the interview letter to the nearest Railway Station of the place of interview by the shortest route as per the rules of TRIFED
10. Candidates shortlisted for Written Test/Written Test-cum-Group Discussion/Interview will be intimated by email about date, time and venue of written test/interview. While the Federation sent the print-out of the such email communication to respective candidates by post, but it can not take the responsibility for delivering the hard copy of the communication.
11. Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
12. All qualifications should be full-time regular course from University/Institute which are duly recognized by the competent authorities/Govt. .
13. Reservation in recruitment for the candidates of SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories shall be applicable as per the Govt. of India’s instructions and guidelines.
14. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates. Additional relaxation of (a) 5 years for PH candidates is admissible for posts at Sr.No.1 & 2 i.e, relaxation in upper age limit will be by 5 years for General PH candidates, by 10 years for SC/ST PH candidates and by 8 years for OBC PH candidates
15. Depending on the requirement, TRIFED reserves the right to cancel/restrict/curtail/enlarge the number of vacancies, if needs so arise, without any further notice and without assigning any reasons thereof.

About the organization:
Tribals constitute 8.14% of the total population of the country, numbering 84.51 million (2001 Census) and cover about 15% of the country’s area. The fact that tribal people need special attention can be observed from their low social, economic and participatory indicators. Whether it is maternal and child mortality, size of agricultural holdings or access to drinking water and electricity, tribal communities lag far behind the general population. 52% of Tribal population is Below Poverty Line and what is staggering is that 54% tribals have no access to economic assets such as communication and transport.These indicators underline the importance of the need of livelihood generating activities based on locally available resources so that gainful employment opportunities could be created at the doorstep of tribal people. Recognizing this need for initiating such livelihood generating activities in a sustained and focused manner, the Ministry of Welfare (now Ministry of Tribal Affairs) established an organization to take up marketing development activities for Non Timber forest produce (NTFP) on which a tribal spends most of his time and derives a major portion of his/her income.
